February half-term ski break from £279
The deal in a nutshell
Loveholidays has an excellent price on a ski holiday to Bansko, in Bulgaria, during the February half-term. Flights and four nights at a well-rated 4-star aparthotel from £279 per person for a family of four and from £309 per person for a family of three.
what’s included
Loveholidays is not a specialist ski company, so all you’re getting for that price is low-cost flights and accommodation. You’ll need to budget for baggage, transfers, equipment hire and lift passes.
On the departure date we’ve selected, the flight times are decent. But, it’s not the case on every date (hello, 5am takeoff on the way back). If you decide to book another night than the one we’re linking to, check the flight times.
The deal is to stay at the Saint George Palace Bansko, which is walking distance from the gondola - although little tired legs might struggle a bit with the 15 minutes uphill after a day on the slopes. The hotel itself is modern, clean and has great Tripadvisor reviews.
What we think of the deal
Of course, this is a bargain when compared to prices for similar breaks at French or even Italian resorts. But Bulgaria ski escapes are always cheaper, so this won’t tell you much.
We selected this break because, even compared to other Bansko hotels, this is a top price. It might not be the cheapest, but we look at the standard of the accommodation and how much you’re paying for it, this is a proper deal.
